Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Education Assistant to join our team at St. Edmund's School in North Vancouver. As an Education Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development needs of students with diverse learning challenges.

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality support and care for students, and will be able to work collaboratively with the school-based team to implement student Individual Educational Plans (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support and care for students with diverse learning challenges
  • Assist with lesson planning and implementation
  • Support students with daily living skills and personal care
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong commitment to providing high-quality support and care for students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the school-based team
  • Knowledge of various methods and practices related to supporting children with diverse needs and varying learning styles
  • Ability to implement student Individual Educational Plans (IEPs)
