Collaborating with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders, you will work alongside fellow researchers and support staff with varied backgrounds and experiences.
Role Responsibilities
As a Data Research Specialist, you will assist the team in executing a variety of projects at multiple levels. The team employs a mix of research methodologies, including both qualitative and quantitative analysis. Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating data collection tools (e.g., surveys, interview guides, moderator guides).
- Conducting Key Informant interviews.
- Performing literature reviews.
- Executing data verification and validation processes.
- Analyzing qualitative and quantitative data using software such as SPSS, STATA, and/or RStudio.
- Conducting site visits to gather primary data.
- Collaborating with other teams and departments across the organization.
- Assisting in report development to present study findings.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in social sciences (sociology, psychology, political science, or economics) or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant industry experience in a social research context.
- Proficiency in data management and technical applications such as R, Stata, SPSS, MS Excel, and/or NVivo.
- Experience with telephone and online survey tools.
- A passion for research, coupled with strong communication and writing skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of research methodologies.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Compensation Package
Compensation will be aligned with experience:
Data Research Specialist 1 – Two to three years of experience with a bachelor's degree $55,000-$65,000
Data Research Specialist 2 – Four years of experience with a master's degree $65,000-$75,000
Our total compensation package includes discretionary bonuses, extended health and dental benefits, short-term and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, a retirement savings program, and an employee assistance program.
