Job Title: Educational Counsellor

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Educational Counsellor to join our team at Canadian International Secondary School Inc. The successful candidate will provide guidance and support to students, parents, and teachers to help them navigate academic and career-related challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group counselling sessions to students, addressing academic, career, and personal concerns.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement student support plans.
  • Conduct educational assessments and develop strategies to support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Organize and lead workshops, seminars, and presentations on topics such as academic planning, career exploration, and study skills.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies, educational institutions, and employers to provide students with opportunities for internships, job shadowing, and career development.
  • Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments, educational trends, and best practices in educational counselling.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Counselling, or a related field.
  • Experience working with students, parents, and teachers in a school setting.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Working Conditions:

The Educational Counsellor will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a diverse student population. The successful candidate will be required to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and administrators to provide support to students.

Language:

The primary language of communication is English.

Hours of Work:

35 hours per week.
