Operations Team Leader

Position Overview:
The individual in this role will spearhead the operations team within the plant and field settings, ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant operational environment while fostering a culture aligned with corporate values. This position necessitates a high level of technical expertise and a comprehensive understanding of the operational protocols within the production facilities.
Work Environment:
- This role is stationed in Grande Prairie, AB, specifically within the Wapiti field.
- It is a full-time position operating on a schedule of five days on and two days off, from Monday to Friday.
- Transportation to the site will be provided through company vehicles based on geographical mapping and employee residence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe and effective achievement of production targets for the asset.
- Collaborate with the Superintendent, Area Coordinator, and engineering teams to formulate annual operational expenditure budgets.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks related to scheduling conflicts, health and safety compliance, and simultaneous operations.
- Offer guidance on troubleshooting processes to meet key performance indicators and resolve operational disruptions.
- Monitor team performance to facilitate cross-training and enhance overall effectiveness.
- Oversee development plans and performance evaluations for team members.
- Assist engineering teams with facility projects, including planning and execution, while playing a pivotal role in succession planning.
Candidate Profile:
- A minimum of a high school diploma is required.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in gas and oil field operations, with specific expertise in inlet blow case and compression.
- A strong commitment to mentoring and developing future leaders.
- Proven ability to drive cultural change in alignment with corporate values and standards.
We recognize the importance of transferable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education for candidates who do not meet specific criteria.
As this role is safety-sensitive, the employment of the selected candidate will be contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment medical and substance assessments.
Additionally, candidates must maintain a valid Class 5 driver's license and a satisfactory driving record, adhering to company policies and guidelines.
