About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Designer to join our team at Motive. As a key member of our Technical Design Team, you will be responsible for leading the development of new design workflows and features, maintaining and owning systems and features during production, and ensuring a high-quality release by bug fixing, reviewing scripts, performance optimization, and creating a fun gameplay experience.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of new design workflows and features, collaborating with the Technical Design Team and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain and own systems and features during production, ensuring they meet the required standards and quality.
  • Ensure a high-quality release by bug fixing, reviewing scripts, performance optimization, and creating a fun gameplay experience.
  • Help establish best practices for the Design Team, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Promote and build an inclusive work environment, fostering a collaborative and respectful team culture.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a Technical Designer or Designer within the games industry, with a strong understanding of technical design processes, content creation, engines, tools, and pipelines.
  • Experience of the full cycle of AAA game development, with a focus on technical design and problem-solving.
  • Visual scripting-language experience, with a strong understanding of modern game design trends and how they function.
  • Ability to receive and share constructive criticism, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and communication skills.
