Job Title: Superintendent, ICI

Are you a seasoned construction professional with experience in overseeing the construction of ICI projects? We have an exciting opportunity for a Superintendent to join our team in Prince George, BC.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to manage the day-to-day activities on our ICI project site. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the project runs smoothly from start to finish, managing subtrades and suppliers, and working in partnership with the Project Management team to deliver a high-quality finished product.

Responsibilities:
  • Job Site Coordination: Manage day-to-day activities on site and ensure the project runs smoothly from start to finish.
  • Subtrade/Supplier Management: Manage construction subtrades and suppliers on the job site and mitigate issues that may arise during a project.
  • Project Management Interface: Work in partnership with the Project Management team to deliver a high-quality finished product while managing the schedule and budget.
  • Client Interface: Meet with architects, consultants, and/or clients to manage project issues and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Project Documentation: Use Microsoft and other web-based software to manage labour, materials, and equipment, cost coding, expense submittals, field reports, schedules, meeting minutes, request for changes, etc.
  • Budget Management: Continuously monitor and manage project budget, ability to minimize project costs through inventive methods and regular financial reporting to management.
  • Ensure compliance to Work Safe BC regulations.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a superintendent role overseeing ICI projects from start to finish.
  • Eligible to work in Canada on a full-time basis.
  • A strong grasp of current construction practices, including familiarity with construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of safety programs and procedures in BC and how to ensure they are followed on site at all times.
  • Adequate computer skills to communicate with all project stakeholders.
  • Experience using project management software is an asset.
