We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Optical Engines BU team in R&D. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the design and introduction to manufacturing of high-speed, highly integrated assemblies for the optical communications market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for optical communications systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets manufacturing and quality requirements
  • Perform FEA stress and thermal modeling on electro-optical assemblies
  • Generate working drawings and mechanical assembly manuals
  • Obtain quotations and lead times for prototype parts from local machine shops
Requirements
  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering
  • Design for Manufacturing knowledge for Mechanical design parts
  • Proficiency in CAD design software, preferably CREO and Solidworks
  • Knowledge in opto-mechanical module MSA form factor requirements
  • Experience in performing FEA stress and thermal modeling on electro-optical assemblies
