Job Summary

Southern Industrial & Truck Ltd is seeking a skilled Transport Truck Trailer Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet of commercial transport trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance services on transport trucks and trailers to prevent mechanical failures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Repair and Replacement: Diagnose and repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, including automotive and truck-trailer systems.
  • Inspection and Testing: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and perform adjustments and repairs as needed.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all work performed meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other technicians and maintenance staff to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent mechanical aptitude, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination.
