Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Materials Engineer to enhance our dedicated team at WSP Canada. This role is pivotal in advancing our strategic initiatives to improve service offerings across the region. As a key member of the Materials Engineering division, you will collaborate with a skilled group of engineering professionals and technical staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize your expertise to analyze and document technical findings, produce detailed reports, and deliver expert insights on various projects.
  • Oversee and coordinate our comprehensive materials engineering and pavement teams, ensuring effective operations in both field and laboratory settings.
  • Assist in the management and certification processes of our accredited laboratories.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their requirements are clearly understood and met with your professional guidance.
Qualifications:
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3-8 years of experience in Construction Materials Quality Assurance/Quality Control or related areas.
  • A meticulous approach with a focus on accuracy and detail in all tasks.
  • Possession of a professional engineering license or the ability to obtain one in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience in leading and supervising technical teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • A flexible mindset with the capability to prioritize tasks effectively.
