Job Summary

The Property Portfolio Assistant provides critical support to tenants and Property Portfolio Managers at BC Housing. This role involves rent calculations, annual reviews, and maintenance processes of housing stock, as well as assisting with tenant record setup and ongoing file maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support tenants and Property Portfolio Managers with rent calculations and annual reviews
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of tenant records, including rents, subsidies, and services
  • Analyze and interpret tenant and housing records to ensure accuracy and initiate corrective action when necessary
  • Work efficiently and independently, with minimal supervision, to manage multiple responsibilities and ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Develop strong mathematical and analytical skills to interpret financial documents and exercise good judgment

Requirements

  • High school graduation plus completion of post-secondary courses in business or program administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Considerable related progressive experience in a comparable environment
  • Proficient in office systems, operating procedures, and computer applications, including MS Office
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage files, organize confidential documentation, and handle sensitive situations
