About Canadian North

As a proud 100% Inuit-owned airline, Canadian North is dedicated to connecting communities and delivering vital cargo across the north and beyond. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life in the regions we serve, all while prioritizing safety in every flight.

Position Details

This role is primarily based out of Ottawa, with flight pairings ranging from 6 to 14 days. Pilots residing more than 150 kilometers from their base will receive travel reimbursement to assist with commuting costs.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • 3000 hours of total flight time
  • 2000 hours of multi-engine fixed-wing experience
  • 1000 hours of turbojet or turboprop flight time over 17,000 pounds MTOW
  • Valid Transport Canada Group 1 Instrument Rating
  • Valid Transport Canada Class 1 Medical Certificate
  • Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot's License (ATPL)
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Current valid passport and Canadian Permanent Resident Card if applicable
  • All necessary visas or travel documents for unrestricted travel
  • Ability to communicate in Inuktut is a significant advantage
  • Capability to obtain and maintain an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card as per Transport Canada regulations
