Job Title: English as a Second Language Teacher

We are seeking a qualified English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher to join our team at Maple Vantage Education Centre. As an ESL teacher, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and engaging learning environment for students of various ages and skill levels.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of students, including preparing teaching materials and outlines for courses.
  • Assess student progress through tests, papers, and reports, and provide constructive feedback to improve student outcomes.
  • Conduct course and program evaluations to ensure the effectiveness of our ESL programs.
  • Deliver lectures, presentations, and teach students through various methods, including lectures, discussions, audio-visual presentations, and laboratory studies.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in teaching ESL or a related field.
  • Asset languages: Mandarin and Cantonese.
  • Work setting: Room and board provided.
