Job Title: Metal Fabrication Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Assistant to join our team at The Steel Guys Fabricating Ltd. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our metal fabrication processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal products.
  • Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers in various fabrication tasks.
  • Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Load and unload vehicles to facilitate the transportation of materials and products.
  • Polish metal products to a mirror finish to meet quality standards.
  • Read and interpret work orders to understand project requirements and deadlines.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
  • Work in a fast-paced fabrication environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Physically demanding role requiring manual labor and attention to detail.
