Job Summary:

The Residential Care Specialist implements the residential care plans for each client/resident and performs all general nursing duties to enhance the physical, mental, and social care of the clients/residents within the LPN scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each client/resident.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify client/resident needs and develop effective care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with clients/residents, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care and services.

Requirements:

  • Current LPN licensure in the province of BC.
  • Minimum 6 months of palliative care experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Industry-recognized Food Handlers and Sanitation Course.
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention course preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
