Primary Care Clinician Opportunity

The Nexus Primary Care Clinic, operated by the Nexus Patient and Community Care Society in partnership with Island Health, is seeking a skilled Primary Care Clinician to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with Registered Nurses, Allied Health Clinicians, and a Clinical Pharmacist to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, including diagnosing diseases, disorders, and conditions.
  • Initiate treatment, including healthcare management, therapeutic interventions, and prescribing medications.
  • Provide medical coordination and participate in multidisciplinary team planning for ongoing patient health needs.
  • Develop and operate team-based practice-wide programs, including health promotion, disease prevention, chronic disease management, and specialty care for specific populations.
  • Engage in clinical teaching and preceptorship, as well as clinical administrative services, including healthcare planning and quality improvement activities.
