Job Title: Community and Social Services Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community and Social Services Worker to join our team at Strive Living Society Penticton. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with diverse needs and backgrounds.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and services to clients in a group home setting, working with culturally diverse groups, and collaborating with other social services agencies and healthcare providers. This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess client needs and develop personalized support plans
  • Provide administrative and office support as needed
  • Liaise with clients, families, and community agencies to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Implement behavior management programs and provide crisis intervention as required
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings, promoting independence and community integration
Requirements:
  • College diploma or equivalent in a related field (e.g., social work, psychology, or a related field)
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a group home setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on client-centered care
