About the Role

Foilcon is seeking a highly skilled Automation Developer to join our team. As an Automation Developer, you will play a critical role in designing and executing QA tests using scripts that automatically test functionality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify Opportunities for Automation: Identify opportunities for automation within software processes and design effective solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Design and Execute QA Tests: Design and execute QA tests using scripts that automatically test functionality, ensuring that software meets the required standards.
  • Develop Test Automation Scripts: Develop test automation scripts to produce sets of automated test cases, reducing manual testing efforts and improving test coverage.
  • Utilize Test Automation Frameworks: Utilize test automation frameworks to design and execute tests, ensuring that software meets the required standards.
  • Investigate Software Issues: Investigate problems in software as a result of testing, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
  • Collaborate with QA Analysts and Developers: Collaborate with QA analysts and software developers to find solutions to software issues, ensuring that software meets the required standards.
Requirements
  • Extensive Experience with Automated Test Tools: Extensive experience with automated test tools such as Katalon, Selenium, Microfocus Unified Functional Testing (UFT), Microfocus Load Runner 12.5, and ReadyAPI.
  • Experience with Cloud Technology: Experience with cloud technology, including Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps Methodologies: Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, and DEVOPS.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a proven track record of building strong working relationships.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with Information Retrieval Packages: Experience with information retrieval packages, including knowledge of one or more programming languages.
  • Experience with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA): Experience with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards.
  • Experience with Legacy Mainframe Systems: Experience with legacy mainframe systems, including knowledge of Licensing and Control System (LCS) and Legacy Mainframe Systems.
  • Experience with Payment Gateway MPG/EPS Services: Experience with payment gateway MPG/EPS services.
