About the Role

MID-KNIGHT ELECTRICAL LTD. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Journeyman/Woman to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Installation and Maintenance: Install electrical controls and panel boxes, replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes, and ensure all electrical systems are functioning properly.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring professionalism and a high level of satisfaction with our clients.
  • Wiring and Cabling: Install underground wiring and cables, and ensure all electrical connections are secure and meet safety standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation of electrical work, including maintenance reports and inspection records.
  • Design and Construction: Design and construct single-phase service for single or multi-meter installations, and ensure all electrical systems meet safety and regulatory standards.
  • Testing and Measurement: Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults, and the integrity of circuits to ensure all electrical systems are functioning properly.
  • Material Selection and Estimation: Determine the appropriate selection of materials and methods for hazardous locations, and estimate costs and materials for electrical projects.
  • Training and Supervision: Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers to ensure all electrical work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Electrical Equipment and Systems: Ground and bond electrical equipment, systems, and structures, including swimming pools and hot tubs.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Electrician Trade Certification and a valid driver's license.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and physical stamina to perform electrical work.
  • Tools and Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots and other necessary tools and equipment for electrical work.
  • Financial and Other Benefits: As per collective agreement, including parking available and a 40-hour workweek.
