Position – UI Technical Artist

We're seeking an experienced UI Technical Artist to join our Haven Entertainment Studios project team. As a UI Technical Artist, you'll work closely with our programming team to develop our UI toolkit, translating UI direction into effective widgets using your technical expertise in composition and animation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement the project's UI toolkit.
  • Develop widgets that enable UI artists to quickly iterate on UI features.
  • Prototype new widgets through scripting.
  • Use telemetry data to continuously improve UI quality and performance.
  • Contribute to the development of necessary skills within the team and promote best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Shipped at least one AAA console game.
  • Understanding of graphical parameters related to UI, such as resolution, scale, and aspect ratio.
  • Scripting knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Self-motivated with a strong collaborative mindset.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Good understanding of UX.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Shipped UI content in a 60fps game.
  • Strong expertise in Unreal Engine.
  • Familiarity with Sony's PlayStation console/tools.
