Position:

The Engineering division at Allen-Vanguard is seeking a talented Systems Designer to enhance our Threat Management Team (TMT) based in Ottawa, Ontario.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess and validate mission requirements for electronic countermeasure systems
  • Design and evaluate proxy devices
  • Execute over-the-air assessments of mission requirements
  • Generate comprehensive technical documentation
  • Engage in cross-disciplinary collaboration with engineering teams
  • Operate autonomously while adhering to organizational protocols
  • Facilitate product showcases
  • Contribute to the establishment of innovative testing frameworks
  • Work alongside other teams for system integration and validation efforts

Qualifications:

  • Possession of Canadian security clearance at Secret Level II
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communications Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Experience in laboratory settings
  • Expertise in RF testing apparatus
  • Proficient in hardware troubleshooting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Familiarity with radio communication principles and signal processing techniques
  • Proficient in programming languages and tools such as Python, Arduino, Simulink, and MATLAB
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required
