Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Manage the Commercial team, including client service, satisfaction, and retention; sales; claims resolution; employee attraction, retention, employee engagement, and development.
- Sales and Revenue Growth: Lead a sales-focused Commercial team in meeting sales targets, including renewal retention, rate increases, cross-selling, and upselling.
- Profitability and Performance: Responsible for Commercial team profitability within the branch. Review and monitor reports for key performance indicators.
- Team Development and Engagement: Convene and lead regular meetings with the team, ensuring initiatives are implemented effectively. Conduct annual performance reviews for all direct reports on time. Promote and support professional development for team members.
- Market and Business Development: Lead market and business development resources for the Commercial team, including building and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with external carrier partners.
- Client Experience: Reinforce collaboration and demonstrate commitment to excellence, establishing a client-focused experience in the office. Build an exceptional client experience through which you will differentiate Agile Underwriting Solutions in the marketplace.
- Innovation and Change: Foster an environment of innovation and change; seek to understand business needs, uncover areas for improving efficiency and process, and support the team in leading change initiatives.
- Industry Knowledge and Technical Skills: Maintain a high level of industry knowledge and technical skills, working towards higher education, CAIB, CIP, etc.
- Insurance Broker License: Insurance Broker Level 2 License; working towards or completion of CIP designation.
- Commercial Insurance Experience: Minimum 8 years' Commercial Insurance experience.
- Leadership and Management Experience: Proven experience as a manager of people and as a team builder.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong written and verbal communications skills, an active listener.
- Adaptability and Change Management: Ability to act as a change agent in a rapidly growing and changing environment.
- Culture and Client Service: A natural ability at instilling a culture of client service.
- Work Ethic and Teamwork: Adaptable when priorities change throughout the day based on team or client needs. Strong work ethic without sacrificing your ability to have fun on the job.
