About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Delivery Driver to join our team at Sun Farm Produce (2007) Ltd. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering and picking up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, as well as operating and driving automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery and Pick-up Services: Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, ensuring timely and efficient service to our customers.
  • Vehicle Operations: Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products, adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring professionalism and courtesy in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Payment and Invoicing: Accept payment or invoices for items delivered, maintaining accurate records and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with our team.
  • Sales and Marketing: Sell products over established routes, promoting our company's products and services to customers and potential clients.
  • Record-Keeping: Keep a record of items received and delivered, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for our team's reference.
  • Special Events: Accept and deliver messages and packages for events, conferences, or assemblies, providing exceptional service and attention to detail.
  • Trip Planning: Use maps and other trip planning aids to optimize routes and ensure efficient delivery and pick-up services.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems, ensuring prompt maintenance and repair of our vehicles.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess an Air Brakes Endorsement and a Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles).
  • Physical Demands: Be physically demanding, with the ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, organization, reliability, and punctuality.
  • Experience: Have at least 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of logistics and customer service principles.
