At Black & McDonald, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our quality control team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products and services meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of welding symbols and weld faults, as well as excellent knowledge of CSA W47.1 W59 and various ASME codes. You will be responsible for monitoring the quality control program, identifying and controlling nonconforming items, and verifying control of nonconforming items.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will also be responsible for developing and implementing policies, standards, and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department. You will work closely with our operations team to develop and monitor project quality plans and documents, including compliance by subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the quality control program and identify areas for improvement

Requirements:

  • Active registration with the Canadian Welding Bureau as a Welding Inspector with CSA Standard W
