Job Title: Financial Planning and Budgeting Manager

Definity is seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Budgeting Manager to lead the execution of the organization-wide budgeting and forecasting cycles. The successful candidate will be responsible for consolidating various operational and head office department budgets, delivering executive and board-level materials, and evaluating financial performance against targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with operational business partners to prepare detailed budgets and forecasts
  • Drive continuous enhancements to budget and forecast processes, systems, and reporting
  • Supervise and develop a team of financial analysts

Requirements:

  • Completed university degree in accounting, business, or finance
  • Recognized Canadian accounting designation (CPA) required
  • Experience in people leadership and financial ownership of cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
