We're Seeking a Skilled Fixed Machinery Mechanic

Join our team of technical experts and contribute your expertise to the smooth operation of our client's facilities. As a Fixed Machinery Mechanic, you will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance of electromechanical systems within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of thermal power plant equipment, including chemical water treatment programs.
  • Inspect and document mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure to ensure its integrity.
  • Generate detailed activity reports (logbooks) to track maintenance activities.
  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks as outlined in the client's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Respond promptly to technical service calls, documenting interventions within the CMMS.
  • Adjust HVAC systems (pulleys, belts, terminal boxes) to enhance functionality and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot basic operational issues with HVAC systems to identify and resolve problems.
  • Perform minor repairs as needed to maintain system reliability.
  • Regularly inspect and replace filters to ensure optimal air quality and system performance.
  • Clean coils, water tower basins, exchangers, and strainers to prevent buildup and improve efficiency.
  • Optimize set points for HVAC systems to ensure occupant comfort while minimizing energy consumption.
  • Supervise specialized subcontractors during preventive and corrective maintenance work.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in mechanical and electrical rooms.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of control systems and contribute to the client's energy efficiency and environmental initiatives.
  • Participate in meetings with the real estate management team to discuss maintenance strategies and operational updates.
Qualifications:
  • Hold a Level 3A Fixed Machinery Mechanic license or higher.
  • Proficiency in building control software is essential.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English are required.
