About the Role

GTA Customs Inc is seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our team. As an Auto Body Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and refinishing vehicles to their original condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring that all vehicles are repaired to the highest standards and delivered on time.
  • Workshop Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workshop, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Repair and Refinishing: Repair and refinish vehicle bodies, including replacing front end components, body components, doors, and frame and underbody components.
  • Surface Preparation: File, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired, and mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting.
  • Dent and Defect Removal: Hammer out dents, buckles, and defects using blocks and hammers.
  • Panel Replacement: Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place.
  • Painting and Finishing: Apply primers and repaint surfaces, and repair or replace interior components.
  • Window and Glass Repair: Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields, and sunroofs.
  • Paint Mixing and Matching: Mix paint, blend, and match colors to ensure a perfect finish.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams.
  • Frame Straightening: Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment.
  • Work Schedule: Work a regular 35-40 hour week, with occasional overtime as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
