Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plumber/Maintenance Worker to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair functions related to plumbing, architectural, electrical, and mechanical equipment on our buildings and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviews work requests and consults with user departments regarding specifications and other project requirements
  • Installs, troubleshoots, maintains, modifies, monitors, inspects, tests, repairs, and replaces pipe and plumbing systems, medical gas systems, natural gas piping systems, appliances, equipment, and accessories
  • Performs scheduled and demand maintenance on building installations, electrical and mechanical repairs on buildings, equipment, and appliances
  • Maintains and adjusts all domestic water systems and related equipment
  • Maintains relative preventative maintenance program inspection reports, records, and documentation
  • Operates and assures readiness at all times of the building emergency systems such as fire alarm systems and emergency stand-by generators
Requirements
  • Certificate of Apprenticeship or Trades Qualification Certificate as a journeyman Plumber
  • Class B level Gas Fitter's License with an electrical endorsement recognized by the Province of BC
  • Valid Certificate of Competency as a Cross Connection Control Specialist issued by the American Water Works Association, British Columbia Section
  • Two years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
