Position Overview

The Hair Stylist plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our clientele, ensuring their satisfaction is our top priority. By adhering to SmartStyle's established standards, the stylist engages in thorough consultations to surpass customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hair washing, conditioning, and rinsing.
  • Execute haircuts, trims, and styles using a variety of tools including clippers, scissors, and razors.
  • Apply perms, highlights, and color treatments as per client specifications.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workstation.
  • Sanitize all tools and equipment regularly.
  • Advise clients on products to help them maintain their hairstyles between visits.
  • Assist with reception duties when necessary.
  • Carry out opening and closing procedures as required.
  • Help with inventory management of retail products.
  • Perform additional related tasks as needed.
  • Availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Education: Completion of a recognized cosmetology program.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a stylist is beneficial, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Licensing: Must possess a valid Ontario Cosmetology License or be currently enrolled in a program to obtain the necessary certification.
  • Skills: Basic computer and email proficiency is advantageous.
