Mortgage Backed Securities Analyst
Equitable Bank is seeking a Mortgage Backed Securities Analyst to enhance their team. The successful candidate will engage in a variety of tasks associated with the administration, accounting, reporting, and financial analysis of the bank's mortgage-backed securities operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the creation, issuance, and settlement of new NHA MBS.
- Compile monthly CMHC 2840 investor reports and manage payments to the CPTA.
- Gain a thorough understanding of and comply with the bank's policies and procedures in alignment with CMHC's NHA MBS and CMB Guidelines.
- Oversee daily cash tracking and reconciliation.
- Assist in the financial statement closing process by preparing monthly accounting schedules.
- Contribute to month-over-month variance analysis.
- Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Commerce, with a preference for Accounting focus.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Familiarity with CMHC-sponsored NHA MBS and CMB securitization programs is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
