About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Little Champs Day Care Centre Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Childcare Support: Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Infant and Toddler Care: Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, ensuring their basic needs are met.
  • Engagement and Activities: Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts, promoting their creativity and imagination.
  • Record Keeping: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records of children's progress and development.
  • Supply Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Team Collaboration: Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children, ensuring a collaborative approach to childcare.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a childcare setting.
  • Personal Qualities: Punctuality, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, reliability, and a team player attitude.
