Job Title: 3D Gaming Programmer

Ubisoft Montreal is seeking a skilled 3D Gaming Programmer to join our team of talented developers. As a key member of our animation team, you will be responsible for creating dynamic, visually stunning games that push the boundaries of entertainment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with animation, programming, and mocap teams to design and develop animation systems that meet the highest quality standards.
  • Analyze existing animation features in the engine and optimize them for new projects.
  • Build and maintain animation systems that bring games to life.
  • Program in a clear and structured manner, ensuring performance, memory, maintenance, compatibility, and portability requirements are met.
  • Combine technical and artistic skills to create engaging game experiences.
  • Research and develop new animation techniques to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Share knowledge with cross-functional teams across Ubisoft.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in C++ and C# programming, with Visual Studio knowledge.
  • Experience with animation techniques such as rigging, state machines, physics ragdolls, inverse kinematics (IK), compression, facial animation, etc.
  • Experience in the animation field to understand programming tools and how to improve them.
  • A degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (or related training).
