Job Title: Mechanical Designer Engineer

Location: Lloydminster, Central Alberta

Salary: $110k-$138k (Based on Experience)

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer to join our team in Lloydminster. As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for various projects. Responsibilities:

  • Be involved with preliminary design and engineering duties.
  • Prepare detailed design calculations, layouts, and reports.
  • Partner with other disciplines to come up with solutions to complex issues to meet clients' needs.
  • Mentor junior staff.
  • Take a lead within projects to ensure timelines.
  • Be involved in all aspects of projects - contractors, subcontractors, site visit, and client-facing responsibilities.
  • Have an excellent sense of urgency, able to meet tight deadlines, and problem-solve unexpected challenges.
  • Be involved with business development and build client relationships.

Requirements:

  • Registered or eligible for registration with APEGA and APEGS.
  • Self-motivated and organized with strong management skills.
  • Analytically inclined with a strong sense of problem-solving.
  • Familiar with industry standards and codes.
  • Able to work independently and with a team environment.
  • Effective communication with a proficiency to convey ideas both written and verbal.
