About the Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Caretaker I to join our team at Rocky View Schools. As an on-call casual employee, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and security of our schools in the Springbank Area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of school facilities, including classrooms, hallways, and common areas
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting
  • Keep assigned sidewalks, steps, and entrances free from ice and snow
  • Perform building security checks as scheduled by the Head Building Operator
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals

Requirements:

  • Previous cleaning experience is considered an asset
  • Certifications from cleaning organizations are considered an asset
  • Previous experience within a school division is considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
