We are seeking a skilled Steamfitter-Pipefitter to join our team at University Health Network. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial pipe systems.
Key Responsibilities- Select, measure, cut, ream, and thread pipe to ensure proper fit and function.
- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors, and control equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
- Install clamps, brackets, and hangers to support piping systems and sprinkler and fire protection equipment, using hand and power tools.
- Join pipes and piping sections using soldering and welding equipment, adhering to industry standards and safety protocols.
- Select the type and size of pipe required based on project specifications and industry best practices.
- Test systems for leaks using testing equipment, ensuring the integrity of the piping system.
- Estimate costs and materials for projects, providing accurate and timely information to stakeholders.
- Repair and maintain equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
- Steamfitter and Pipefitter Trade Certification is required.
- Pipelines industry experience is essential, with a focus on industrial pipe systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary for success in this role.
- Strong communication skills are required to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
