About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to join our Domestic Tax team at Grant Thornton. As a trusted advisor to clients, you will be responsible for providing exceptional tax planning and compliance services to privately held businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to achieve client business objectives
  • Manage and develop our growing tax practice, including coaching and mentoring professional staff
  • Assist clients with income tax planning, implementation, and compliance requirements, including complex corporate, personal, and trust matters
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities for value-added tax services
  • Provide exceptional client service and stay attuned to new legislation, interpretations, and market factors that impact our clients
Requirements
  • CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course or Master's of Taxation degree
  • Substantive expertise in tax-related aspects of succession, trust, and estate matters
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional client service
  • Ability to develop, present, and apply new ideas, creative approaches, and innovative solutions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interest in coaching and development, with a commitment to personal growth
  • Commitment to excellence in product quality and attention to detail
  • A team player able to rally resources and work with others to meet the client's needs
