Job Summary:
The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our Home Care Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to clients in their homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply the nursing process to support clients in achieving and maintaining their optimum level of health
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
- Engage in ongoing education and maintain competency in accordance with professional standards and policies
- Exercise independent judgment in determining work priorities and methods
- Function in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority
Requirements:
- Current active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba/College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Fetal Health Surveillance in Labour
- Knowledge of Professional Standards of Practice, and Code of Ethics
- Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative interdisciplinary environment
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships
- Demonstrated conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to use an analytical and inquiring approach to problem-solving
- Demonstrated ability to lead and make decisions autonomously
- Strong organizational skills and flexibility to meet the demands of the position
- Able to effectively perform the tasks and responsibilities of the position
- Given the cultural diversity of our region, the ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population is required
- Proficiency of both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions
- Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job
- Good work and attendance record
Conditions of Employment:
- Completes and maintains a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate
- All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with Winnipeg Regional Health Authority policy
