Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Culinary Specialist to join our team at 1042131 Ontario Inc. This role involves overseeing various kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years in a similar role
Work Environment

The position is based in a fast-paced kitchen setting where staff accommodation is available. The role may require travel, with expenses covered by the employer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess food portion sizes and associated costs
  • Design menus and calculate food requirements
  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals and dishes
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas for compliance
  • Train kitchen staff in food preparation and safety
  • Supervise kitchen personnel and assistants
  • Manage inventory and maintain records of food supplies and equipment
  • Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and work areas
  • Estimate supply and food item costs
