Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials.
  • Load and unload goods, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, maintaining a high level of vehicle maintenance and inspection.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform brake adjustments, emergency roadside repairs, and pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and efficiency.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to maintain accurate records.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo, adhering to regulations and company policies.
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods, following strict safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for extended periods, including overnight trips.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Efficient interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
