Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Asset Manager to join our commercial Asset Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial management and performance of our energy assets, including the development and execution of dispatch strategies, fuel purchasing decisions, and hedging opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Management: Develop and execute commercial strategies to manage risk and maximize earnings for our energy assets.
  • Dispatch Strategies: Develop and implement dispatch strategies to optimize energy production and minimize costs.
  • Fuel Purchasing: Negotiate and manage fuel purchasing contracts to ensure optimal pricing and supply.
  • Hedging Opportunities: Identify and execute hedging opportunities to manage risk and maximize earnings.
  • Asset Performance: Monitor and analyze asset performance to identify areas for improvement and optimize energy production.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders, including asset owners, traders, and system operators, to ensure successful operation and execution of commercial strategies.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, such as finance, accounting, or economics.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in the energy industry, with a focus on commercial asset management.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Language: English (fluency in other languages an asset).
