About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at Tilbury Tire Depot Ltd. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our bookkeeping systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Prepare and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, as well as manage employee benefits and deductions.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare financial reports and analyses to support business decisions, including budgeting and forecasting.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Skills: Accurate, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, team player.
Working Conditions
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week.
