Job Title: Flooring Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Specialist to join our team at Kingpin const. & Reno Ltd. as a key member of our construction and renovation team.

Job Summary:

The Flooring Specialist will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of flooring, including resilient flooring, hardwood floors, and other floor coverings. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Read blueprints and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
  • Install resilient floor coverings, hardwood floors, and other floor coverings
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
  • Perform direct glue-down carpet installations
  • Install materials on countertops and raised platforms
  • Install vinyl decking materials
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset

Work Conditions:

This is a permanent position with 35 hours of work per week. The language of work is English.
