About the Role

At Young Bhangra, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dance Instructor to join our team. As a Dance Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching dance techniques and artistic interpretation to our students, preparing them for auditions and performances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Training: Develop and deliver dance classes to students of all levels, focusing on traditional folk dance techniques and artistic expression.
  • Performance Preparation: Assist students in preparing for auditions and performances, including rehearsals and technical rehearsals.
  • Artistic Direction: Collaborate with the artistic team to develop and implement new dance programs and initiatives.
  • Student Support: Provide individualized support and guidance to students, helping them to achieve their dance goals.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Work Setting: This position is based in a dance academy or school setting.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
