About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the IWK Health Centre. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based mental health services to children, youth, and families. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping us deliver high-quality care and support to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological assessments and treatment plans for children, youth, and families
  • Develop and implement evidence-based mental health programs and services
  • Collaborate with interprofessional teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members
  • Participate in program evaluation and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university program
  • Completion of an APA or CPA accredited Predoctoral Internship in Psychology
  • Current registration or eligibility to register with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology
  • Minimum 5 years of formal training and clinical experience in child and adolescent mental health
  • Demonstrated expertise in assessment and treatment of youth and families with mental health and/or addiction issues
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interprofessional team
