Job Summary

We are hiring a Cashier (Part-Time) for our store in Thompson. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service at the checkouts, accurately recording customer transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Accurately record customer transactions and maintain a high level of accuracy in cash handling.
  • Replenish merchandise around the checkout area and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Ensure health and safety policies and guidelines are followed, and report any incidents or hazards to management.
  • Follow loss prevention best practices and ensure compliance with all policies when selling Tobacco and Lottery.

Requirements

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this position include standing and/or walking, bending, twisting, and squatting. You will also be required to lift and/or move up to 18 kg (40 lbs.) and perform tasks involving firm grasping and repetitive hand motions.
