Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Massage Therapist to join our team at Healthwise Optimum Massage Ltd.. This is a temporary position requiring a commitment of 24 to 30 hours per week. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant trades certificate or diploma and have 2 to 3 years of experience in the field.

Work Environment

The successful applicant will work in a private practice setting. Please note that relocation costs will not be covered by the employer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create effective treatment plans for clients.
  • Utilize various massage techniques, including soft tissue manipulation, relaxation methods, hydrotherapy, and trigger point therapy.
  • Apply targeted pressure to specific areas of the body.
  • Conduct assessments through range of motion and muscle tests to develop appropriate treatment strategies.
  • Clearly communicate procedures, risks, and benefits to clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of treatments administered.
  • Perform massage and kneading techniques on muscles and soft tissues.
  • Provide clients with home care instructions and information on massage techniques.
Qualifications

The candidate must hold certification from a provincial or territorial association for massage therapists. A criminal record check is also required.

Transportation Requirements

Applicants must have their own transportation and a valid driver's license.

Physical Demands

This role is physically demanding and involves repetitive tasks, requiring the therapist to stand for extended periods.
