Job Title: Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at Premiere Van Lines. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a commercial vehicle to transport goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and Drive: Straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Load and Unload: Goods and materials with precision and care, following established procedures to prevent damage or loss.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately document cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, maintaining a clean and organized driver logbook.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess and maintain valid certifications, such as Air Brakes Endorsement, Class 1/1F/A Licence, and Class 3/3F/DF Licence, as required by law and company policies.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy goods transport.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to handle heavy loads, work in a physically demanding environment, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Qualities: Organized, reliable, and a team player with excellent communication skills.
Working Conditions:
  • Work Environment: Local, provincial/territorial, and short-haul routes, with occasional overtime required.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's licence, driver's validity licence check, and driving record check (abstract) are mandatory.
