We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team at Trycewell Partners Inc. in Edmonton, AB, Canada.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and performing engineering duties supporting cathodic protection and AC mitigation projects. This includes reviewing cathodic protection data, discussing objectives and expectations, and suggesting appropriate engineering methods and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and execute engineering projects related to cathodic protection and AC mitigation.
  2. Review and analyze cathodic protection data to identify areas for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with other engineers to develop detailed CP designs.
  4. Apply basic engineering principles and corrosion theory to execute projects or complete various aspects on projects.
  5. Conduct field tests to gather data and ensure project success.
  6. Organize and analyze data, preparing charts and tables to inform project decisions.
  7. Prepare CP designs, specifying anode type, quantity, and location; rectifier location, test station locations, and other design features on prepared drawings.
  8. Prepare survey and design reports to communicate project results.
  9. Coordinate engineering aspects of the installation process to ensure project success.
  10. Provide troubleshooting and consultation to technicians for operation and commissioning of complicated cathodic protection systems.
  11. Conduct commissioning surveys and prepare final client reports including recommendations.
  12. Conduct interference testing and coordinate remediation with the client and affected third-parties.
  13. Participate in sales activities as needed.
  14. Manage a crew as needed.
  15. Prepare proposals and cost estimates to support project planning.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
  2. NACE Cathodic Protection Certification with 5-8 years of corrosion experience including independent designing, field testing, cathodic protection surveys, and field installation.
  3. Ability to travel to client sites and have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  4. Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to take initiative and function independently, and have strong team and internal customer service skills.
  6. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
