Job Title: Health Records Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Health Records Clerk to join our team at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

Job Summary:

The Health Records Clerk is responsible for performing quantitative analysis on patient records and completing incompleterecords notifications. This role involves scanning patient records, prepping patient records, and electronically moving patient reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform quantitative analysis on patient records
  • Complete incompleterecords notifications
  • Scan patient records
  • Prep patient records
  • Electronically move patient reports
Requirements:
  • Graduate from a Medical Office Administration Program or equivalent
  • Familiarity with Meditech Scanning application and other software programs
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Proven track record of compliance with the Code of Conduct
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure with a minimum of supervision
  • Ability to work under pressure with time constraints
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • Willingness to float and function throughout the department
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy while processing high volumes
  • Team player with ability to achieve results working in a cooperative manner
