We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Leader to join our team at Ontario Power Generation. As a Project Leader, you will be responsible for leading and administering the organization, coordination, and execution of assigned projects within multidiscipline project portfolios.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and administer project execution teams, ensuring all project objectives and commitments are controlled and delivered within targets of safety, quality, budget, and schedule.
- Develop and implement project management plans, including phase-gating, integration, scope, schedule, cost, change control, estimating, communications, and reporting.
- Manage project documentation, ensuring all necessary information is captured and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate and participate in the preparation of project charters, scopes of work, estimates, schedules, risk management plans, project management plans, gate packages, and contract performance specifications.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and agencies, ensuring all project requirements are met and communicated effectively.
- Monitor and evaluate project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and taking corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and governance requirements, including project management and contract management.
- Requires a knowledge of project management principles, specifically the 5 primary project phases (Identification, Initiation, Definition, Execution, Closeout).
- Requires a knowledge of economics and business principles to provide project cost estimates and forecasts.
- Requires experience in project management, specifically, experience in developing project requirements and plans, preparing cost estimates, participating in request for proposal and contract bidding and award processes, managing projects in execution phase, and managing project closeout.
- Requires strong organizational skills, experience and ability as a team player to understand and manage the interrelationships of various internal and external groups in order to facilitate objectives and ensure projects satisfy stakeholder requirements.
