Position Overview
The Ramp Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of ramp activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Uphold the safety and security protocols of the ramp, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies. Safely guide incoming aircraft to their designated gates, ensuring no damage or injuries occur. Efficiently unload baggage and cargo, maintaining a high standard of safety. Ensure timely delivery of arriving luggage to the designated claim area. Accurately upload outgoing cargo and baggage in accordance with load planning requirements. Safely dispatch aircraft, ensuring all safety measures are followed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the ramp area. Communicate effectively with Operations, Flight Crew, and other ground personnel regarding arrival and departure information. Operate ramp machinery, including bag tugs, belt loaders, and aircraft tow tractors, in a safe and efficient manner. Regularly inspect ground equipment to ensure proper functionality. Demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance at the job location. Exceed customer service and safety expectations set by PrimeFlight. Perform additional duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Minimum age of 19 years. High school diploma or GED required. Ability to pass a background check and obtain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC). Capability to lift items weighing up to 32 kg. Ability to carry heavy objects up and down jetway stairs. Frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, crawling, and stooping required, including working in confined spaces. Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and in environments with noise from machinery. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as the airline operates 24/7. Possession of a valid Canadian driver's license with a clean driving record. Attendance at all pre-employment training sessions is mandatory, with successful completion required for continued employment.
